YouTube Shorts is the short-form section of the American video-sharing website YouTube. It is uploading and hosting visual content much like YouTube’s primary service but with a focus on vertical videos at a maximum length of 60 seconds. Let us see how to create Shorts on YouTube.
What are YouTube Shorts?
YouTube shorts can encompass a wide range of short-form videos. YouTube Shorts is a platform for sharing brief, vertical videos that are typically under 60 seconds in length. These videos can cover various topics, including comedy, music, tutorials, and much more.
Where to find YouTube Shorts?
To find YouTube Shorts, go to the YouTube mobile app or website and explore the “Shorts” section, which is often found on the home page or in the app’s navigation.
You can also use the search function to look for specific shorts or creators.
My first YouTube Short
YouTube features have evolved or changed a lot. Keep exploring tools and apps for latest information. I had my own channel for quite some time now. Have uploaded few videos in past. I recently came across these concept of shorts and tried to make one myself after some research.
Steps to create YouTube Short
You can upload short video or it can be several 15-second videos combined or one continuous video.
- Sign into your “YouTube app”. Or
- “Create” your own channel.
- Sign under “Create” on right hand side click Create.
- Upload your short video of 15 seconds or splice more.
- Video must be 60 seconds or longer to be qualified as YouTube Short.
- Hold “Capture” for live clip recording.
- Click on “Undo” to remove video recorded or “Retake” it.
- Tap close.
- Upload video “Short”.
- Specify the restrictions as required by policy in check box.
- Videos must be shot in vertical orientation with a 9:16 aspect ratio and 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels resolution.
You may use original audio or audio from YouTube’s library or other creator videos for up to 60 seconds to be qualified as Shorts.
